News Item:
Visitor numbers and the launch of a new website for the Bell-Pettigrew Museum of Natural History

This summer the Museum was open to the public on Tuesday and Friday afternoons in the Long Vacation, and also on the first Sunday afternoon in September as part of Doors Open Day. Visitor numbers increased to 1479, compared to 1117 last year.

The SMRU marine mammal exhibition was much appreciated, and hopefully it will return next summer. A generous donation from the After Many Days Club attracted publicity in the Courier and Citizen.

A new website has been produced (many thanks to Sean Earnshaw) and is to be found at:

http://biology.st-andrews.ac.uk/bellpet/

This attracted 240 hits in its first week of operation.
