Dr Anne Smith awarded £563,884 BBSRC research grant

Dr Anne Smith has been awarded a BBSRC research grant for £563,884 (£703,547 fec) for a study on "Advancing Bayesian network algorithms for inferring gene regulation using an integrative computational-biological approach in a yeast model system".  The ultimate goal of this research is to produce an algorithm that does a good job of predicting gene regulatory networks which can be used in future research to measure gene regulatory networks and study their features.  In particular, the algorithm produced here will be used to study the evolution of gene networks in future projects.
